Brittany S.
Brittany is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 11 years of nursing experience and a deep commitment to holistic, patient-centered mental health care. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing, where she cultivated a strong foundation in clinical excellence and compassionate practice. Before transitioning into psychiatry, Brittany dedicated the majority of her nursing career to women’s health, working extensively in labor and delivery and postpartum care. This background gives her a unique perspective on the emotional and psychological challenges women face during the perinatal period and beyond. She brings this
experience into her psychiatric practice, with a special interest in supporting individuals through transitions such as pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal shifts. In her current role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Brittany provides comprehensive
mental health care across the lifespan, with a focus on mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and perinatal mental health. Her approach integrates evidence-based psychopharmacology with supportive therapeutic techniques and lifestyle interventions to create individualized care plans that empower clients toward healing and emotional resilience. Known for her warm, empathetic presence and clinical thoroughness, Brittany is passionate about destigmatizing mental health treatment and promoting access to quality care. She is committed to continuous learning and regularly pursues advanced training to stay current with evolving best practices in psychiatric care. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her children at their sporting events, reading, baking, thrifting, and connecting with friends.
