Mark E. Blair, M.D.

ABPN Certified Psychiatrist
Founder & CEO

Dr. Mark Blair is a board certified adult psychiatrist. Dr. Blair graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2000, served in the US Air Force and went on to complete residency in general psychiatry at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine. In 2007, Dr. Blair received the “Excellence in Psychiatric Education” award for exemplary contributions in Psychiatric Education and Mentorship by the Department of Psychiatry at Wright State University. After residency, Dr. Blair has treated patients primarily in Columbus, Ohio at various treatment locations including Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare, ViaQuest and Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry. In 2012, Dr. Blair transitioned to work primarily at Columbus Springs, where he served as Medical Director & Chief Medical Officer of Columbus Springs Hospitals until November of 2018. Dr. Blair currently serves as Medical Director of Sun Behavioral Columbus. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Ohio Psychiatric Association & The International Society for ECT and Neurostimulation and the Clinical TMS Society. He is experienced working with individuals suffering from a wide array of mental health conditions including depression, OCD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and various anxiety disorders.

Lance D., MBA 

Practice Coordinator

Serving as our Practice Coordinator since 2017, Lance brings over 18 years of experience in case management, business management, sales & entrepreneurship. In 2015, Lance earned an MBA from Ohio University and graduated Cum Laude with Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in 2008. Lance has administered thousands of TMS treatments, which has given him a unique perspective to see, firsthand, the positive impact that TMS therapy has had in patient’s lives. Lance’s passion in the rethinking the patient experience ensures that our operations are consistent with our mission and values of delivering the highest quality, patient centered care possible.

Jordan C., NASM CPT, WLS

TMS Coordinator

Jordan has served as our TMS Coordinator since 2018. Jordan has been in the health and wellness arena since 2013. Jordan holds a certificate as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Weight Loss Specialist certification. His primary goal is to help people become a better version of themselves through diet, exercise and technology. He has made a positive impact in helping hundreds of people over the years live happier, healthier lives. Jordan’s overall life goals and personal achievements, combined with his experience in delivering outstanding patient care make him an excellent part of our team.

Zac B., STNA

Lead TMS Tecnhican

Meet Zac. Zac is a 2008 graduate from The Ohio State University where he studied political science. After working in government and with a series of nonprofits, Zac found his niche in healthcare. Previously he worked as a Patient Care Technician at The Ohio State University Medical Center and later at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Zac believes that in mental health, we should be kind, caring and meet people where they are on their own journey. Zac resides in Victorian Village with his Partner and his rescue dog, Felix. Zac with be attending West Virginia University in the Fall of 2020, pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Sydney T.

TMS Technician

Sydney graduated from Miami University with a B.A. in Psychology/Premedical Studies and a minor in Neuroscience. She intends on going to medical school in Fall of 2021 to become a pediatric psychiatrist, specializing in mood and anxiety disorders. She believes that building a dependable patient-provider relationship is of utmost importance in patient care. Her previous experience consisted of working with developmentally disabled children and volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding facility for children. In undergraduate school, she developed her own research study in behavioral neuroscience, participated in a lab studying family relationships/mood, and utilized Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) technology to investigate how psychopathology affects activation levels in the brain. During her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, attending music festivals and cuddling with her cat and dog!

Sakinah A.

TMS Technician

Sakinah is a 2019 graduate from The Ohio State University with a major in cognitive and computational neuroscience. She has worked as a Patient Care Associate at The Ohio State University Wexner center within their float pool. She has experience with a diverse population of patients from psychiatry, geriatric, adolescents, and postpartum. Her philosophy to patient care is being empathic, mindful, and open minded.  She has done research using a fMRI and is eager to translate those techniques to TMS. She is an avid yoga enthusiast as well as part time gamer. Her other hobbies include painting, pole fitness, and binging Korean dramas. Her dream is to become a certified Physician Assistant. She is interested in both neurology and Obstetrics specialty. Fun fact, she used to be allergic to cats but grew out of it. She adopted an adorable Siamese cat, named Grayson, from a rescue shelter and been a top tier cat mom ever since.

Jenna K.

TMS Technician

Jenna is a 2016 graduate from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology.  Since graduating, Jenna spent three years working on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as a Mental Health Technician.  Knowing that mental health is her passion, Jenna will be attending The Ohio State University in 2020 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nursing to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. When she is not working, chances are Jenna is reading, playing with her dog or watching baking shows on TV.

Dominic M.

TMS Technician

Meet Dominic! As a volunteer for the American Red Cross (First Aid Team) for four years, Dominic provided support at a variety of Columbus events, including OSU sporting events and concerts. A graduate of Columbus State, Dominic obtained his certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician in 2014. He has three years of experience working in the role of EMT, in addition to experience in Emergency Communications. Dominic’s enthusiasm and drive to provide quality patient care make him an excellent addition to the team here at Optimum TMS!
